For the second year in a row, Elvis Presley is at the top of Forbes magazine's list of dead celebrities with the biggest earnings. Presley, who died in August, 1977, made $52 million last year.There are a number of things that contribute to his continuing popularity and one of them is his status as the world's first rock star.
